Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the LogTrace website, contact form, release pages, and the LogTrace desktop product provided by Ulterius LLC.
LogTrace is designed around local-first audit trails. Shell commands, file reads, agent notes, and local review data are intended to stay on the developer computer unless you choose to export, share, or send that information to another service.
Information we collect
Contact information
When you contact us, we collect the name, email address, request type, subject, and message you submit so we can respond.
Website usage data
We may collect limited technical data such as pages viewed, browser type, approximate region, referrer, device information, and interaction events for analytics and security.
Product data
We do not collect your product data. LogTrace stores audit trail data only on your own computer, and your data is not automatically shared with us or any hosted dashboard.
Optional analysis data
If you use AI analysis, your chosen AI provider may process the content you submit according to your account and provider settings.
How we use information
We use information to respond to support requests, operate the website, protect against abuse, understand product interest, improve documentation, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use local LogTrace audit data for advertising.
Third-party services
We use a small number of providers to run the website and contact workflow.
Cloudflare
Cloudflare Works, security, routing, analytics, and verification services may process technical request data such as IP address, headers, device information, and security signals.
Resend
Resend processes contact form email delivery data so messages can reach our inbox and we can reply.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics may process usage events and identifiers to help us understand website traffic and improve the site.
Optional product APIs
LogTrace may connect to third-party APIs only when you configure the feature and provide your own API key. Data sent to these providers is processed under the provider's own terms and privacy policy.
OpenAI
If you choose OpenAI for AI analysis, LogTrace sends the selected audit content to OpenAI's API using the API key you provide.
Claude
If you choose Claude for AI analysis, LogTrace sends the selected audit content to Anthropic's Claude API using the API key you provide.
Gemini
If you choose Gemini for AI analysis, LogTrace sends the selected audit content to Google's Gemini API using the API key you provide.
ExchangeRate-API
If you add an ExchangeRate-API key, LogTrace may request exchange rate data so estimated API costs can be shown in your preferred currency.
Cookies and analytics
The website may use essential storage for security, preferences, or form protection. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers for measurement where configured.
You can control cookies through your browser settings and may use Google's opt-out tools where available.
Retention
Contact messages are retained as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain business records, and handle follow-up support. Website analytics and security logs are retained according to the settings and policies of the relevant provider.
Local LogTrace audit databases are controlled by you on your computer unless you export or share them.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing of personal information.
To make a privacy request, contact us through the LogTrace contact page. We may need enough information to verify and handle the request.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product, website, or providers change. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
