Acceptance
By accessing logtraces.com, downloading LogTrace, using the updater endpoint, or contacting us through the site, you agree to these Terms of Service.
If you use LogTrace on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these terms for that organization.
Service description
LogTrace provides local-first audit trails for AI coding agent activity, including command tracing, risk detection, local database logs, and optional AI analysis.
The website may provide documentation, downloads, release metadata, contact forms, and other product information.
Accounts and contact
The public website may not require an account. If you contact us, request access, or enter a commercial arrangement, you agree to provide accurate information and keep your communication professional and lawful.
Acceptable use
No abuse
Do not disrupt, overload, scan, scrape, or attack the website, release files, updater endpoint, contact form, or related infrastructure.
No unlawful use
Do not use LogTrace or the website in a way that violates applicable law, infringes rights, or helps conceal harmful activity.
No reverse engineering of hosted systems
Do not attempt to bypass security controls, access private systems, or extract non-public service logic.
Downloads and updates
LogTrace may use release metadata and installer assets hosted under logtraces.com for desktop updates. We may change, pause, remove, or replace releases when needed for security, compatibility, product direction, or legal reasons.
You are responsible for deciding whether to install an update in your environment and for maintaining backups where appropriate.
Third-party services
The website and contact workflow may rely on Cloudflare, Resend, Google Analytics, and similar providers. Your use of third-party services may also be governed by their own terms and policies.
If you configure AI analysis, your chosen AI provider is separate from Ulterius LLC and may process submitted content under your provider agreement.
API keys are stored with OS secure storage when available. Runtime access by a malicious process under the same logged-in user account cannot be fully prevented by OS storage alone.
Risk detection
Risk detection is provided as a review aid for commands, file access, agent notes, and other logged activity.
Risk labels may be incomplete, incorrect, outdated, or affected by project context that LogTrace cannot fully understand, so you are responsible for reviewing the underlying logs and making the final decision before taking action.
If you notice an incorrect risk label or see room for improvement, we welcome feedback through the contact form.
Intellectual property
LogTrace, the website, product names, design, documentation, and product materials are owned by Ulterius LLC or its licensors.
These terms do not transfer ownership of intellectual property to you. Software usage rights are governed by the License Agreement or a separate written agreement.
Disclaimers
The website, documentation, release metadata, downloads, and product materials are provided as is and as available to the maximum extent permitted by law.
LogTrace can help review activity, but it does not guarantee prevention of data loss, security incidents, unsafe commands, or compliance issues.
We make reasonable efforts to store API keys securely when supported by the operating system, but we cannot guarantee protection against malware, compromised user accounts, or malicious processes running on your device.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ulterius LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or security incidents arising from use of the service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
